For now….I’m putting a pause on my wordpress blog. I just can not get it to do what I want it to do. I am not giving up on it completely. I would eventually like to branch into getting my own domain name and taking on the full benefits of wordpress, but for now I’m having to step away. I’ve spent too much time trying to figure out how to balance two blogs and in the process both have suffered. So for now, I will be putting all of my time, energy, and efforts into my original blog, The McLendon Whereabouts. So come, join me over there. Life is crazy and I am loving every minute of it!
I’ve been pondering a tagline ever since I “attend” the setup shop workshop last week. For now I’ve come up with this…. “living live. loving Jesus. being crafty.” I’m still not sold on this….so I’d love your opinion, your thoughts and ideas!
Ready, set, go!
And have you noticed my site redesign? I’ve really been trying to work on it and make it more user friendly. I’d love to know what you think!
Hello friends! It’s been so long since I’ve posted over here in my Kristin’s Kreations blog! If you follow our family blog you know that since I last posted, I gave birth to a beautiful son.
Our first picture as a family of three
He’s now almost 4 months old and I’m trying to get things rolling in the ole shop. I’m excited about ideas that have been rolling around in my head and excited to start to see them come forth!
One fun factor (of many of course) of our pregnancy was that we did not know what our little bundle of joy was going to be. Not knowing made decorating the nursery a little tricky, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. We found a bedding that we adored in a little boutique in Savannah and it was perfect. I still love it even now that we know our little bundle is a boy! Leading up to our delivery day we had many beautiful people that blessed us abundantly. For a couple of our showers I made special pins in our nursery colors for the shower hosts. I’m excited to say that as my first new thing in the shop following little Jude’s arrival are more pins in these special colors. I LOVE the color combo!
So here you go….3 new pins, all similar, yet uniquely different.
And this month I am excited to say that I am a sponsor over at Mandipidy….go on over and show her some love! And for her special readers, I am offering 25% off! Just enter the code MANDIPIDY at checkout and you’ll receive the discount!
Thank you for all of your love and support over these past few months! Looking forward to jumping back in…I hope you are along for the ride!
I’ve ventured out to the malls a couple of times in the past few weeks (which is so not normal for me) and everything you see is in reds and pinks and purples. It’s hard to ignore that Valentines Day is right around the corner. I’m actually still in shock that we are already in February. Did I blink and January went away? I’m scared to blink again and it’ll be March 19th (our due date!)!
Well, with all the Valentine colors swirling around, I decided to work on the request for this sweet cup of joy!
Little Miss Ellie (pictured above in her Kristin’s Kreations Christmas Headband!) has requested pink and purple headbands–and I ventured out and found kid friendly/sized headbands. Can’t wait to see if she likes them!
What do y’all think? I’m working on a few ideas to get some more kid friendly things in the shop. What would you like to see? And like Miss Ellie asking for purples and pinks, what are some color combo’s you’d like to see?
And speaking of Valentines Day–in yesterday’s post I sent you over to my blogging friend Caroline’s blog. Did you happen to see her Valentine Card exchange?? I’m thinking about jumping in. How bout you?
Starting a new blog isn’t easy. Especially when you already have one you’re trying to keep updated! But I am very excited about this new blog and the possibilities that lie ahead. For one, I’ve always used Blogger–now I’m trying WordPress. It’s not the easiest of things to learn and will take some time I’m sure (any friends out there using WordPress and have words of advice?)
And what will this new blog hold? All crafty things? I don’t think so. I think this blog will be crafty and life because the two go hand in hand.
So I’d like to invite you on this adventure with me. For the life of me I can’t find a nifty little “follow” button that blogger has, but I have found the “subscribe” button in two different fashions. One being adding it to a reader (Google Reader is the best tool ever in case you are wondering!) and the other subscribing to receive an email when I update. Both of these options are on the right hand side of the blog. So if you will, come along with me, and press the button 🙂
I’m going to borrow something from my blogging friend Caroline (you need to go visit her blog and shop!) and say when my little statistics tell me we’ve reached 50 followers we’ll have a Kristin’s Kreations giveaway. How does that sound?
I’m excited about this new adventure and I hope you are too! Now, for this Tuesday evening, I’ve been home an hour, I’m already in my pj’s and just pulled cupcakes out of the oven. I shall start dinner now since hubs will be home soon and we’re settling in on this rainy Tuesday night. Gotta take advantage of the nights at home! Happy Tuesday my friends!
As many know we’ve had our McLendon Whereabout blog for almost three years now. I’ve loved every moment I’ve had of being a blogger. In no way is the McLendon Whereabout Blog going away–we’re just adding a new one. The McLendon Whereabout Blog was started as we moved from Savannah to Atlanta (Richmond Hill to Marietta/Kennesaw if you want specifics) so that friends and family could keep up with us. In the process Kristin’s Kreations was created and took up some residence on the McLendon Whereabout Blog. It might still show up there from time to time, but we’re going to venture out and let Kristin’s Kreations have it’s own blog. We’ll see how it goes. It might work, it might not, but I’m willing to try! I hope you’ll find the time to keep up with our McLendon Whereabouts and the happenings at Kristin’s Kreations. Thank you for all of your love and support!
